The Anderson Adult Education
Center has a collaborative partnership with the Anderson Literacy
Volunteers, Inc. Their literacy program is available for adults
who are non-readers. The student is placed with a volunteer tutor
who will work with them on a one-on-one basis. Times and locations
for tutoring are arranged for the convenience of the tutor and
students. Training is provided to volunteers from the community
who want to help adults learn to read. These training sessions are
scheduled periodically throughout the year by Lucy Hall, Executive
Director of the Anderson Literacy Volunteers, Inc. Please contact
Mrs. Hall at 225-7323 for information about literacy.
